Ingredients:

2 lbs ground lamb (90/10)


1 egg


2 tablespoons minced garlic: Garlic is known for its immune-boosting properties and may help lower blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels.


1 tablespoon minced ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, aiding digestion and reducing nausea.


1 teaspoon ground cumin: Cumin is rich in antioxidants and may aid digestion, improve blood sugar control, and promote weight loss.


1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper: Aleppo pepper contains capsaicin, which may help reduce inflammation, boost metabolism, and alleviate pain.


1 teaspoon Zi Spice Northern Garam Masala: Garam Masala is a blend of spices that typically includes coriander, cumin, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper. This blend offers a range of health benefits, including improved digestion, reduced inflammation, and enhanced metabolism.


3 tablespoons tomato paste: Tomato paste is a good source of vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants like lycopene, which may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases.


1 teaspoon baking soda: Baking soda helps tenderize the meat and balance the acidity in the marinade.


1 red onion, diced: Red onions contain antioxidants and compounds that may help reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol levels, and regulate blood sugar.


1 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped: Parsley is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as antioxidants and flavonoids that may have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects.


Salt and pepper to taste


Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes



Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, egg, minced garlic, minced ginger, ground cumin, Aleppo pepper, Northern Garam Masala, tomato paste, and baking soda. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Add the diced red onion and chopped parsley to the mixture, and mix until well combined.

  3. Preheat your Traeger grill to 500°F.

  4. Take small portions of the lamb mixture and roll them into balls. Thread the balls onto the soaked wooden skewers, forming kebabs.

  5. Place the kebabs on the preheated grill and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

  6. While the kebabs are cooking, prepare your grilled veggies by coating asparagus and bell peppers in salt, pepper, and butter. Grill until tender and slightly charred.

  7. Serve the Northern Garam Masala Lamb Kebabs hot off the grill, paired with the grilled veggies and saffron rice for a delicious and nutritious meal!
